Manual votes

Manual votes are officially referred to as voting other than by electronic means.

Non-electronic divisions are managed via roll call. Deputies take their seats and the Clerk calls out the name of each Member in order. Each Deputy responds with Tá, Níl or Staon when called.

When all the Members waiting to vote have had their votes recorded, the results are handed to the Chair. On presentation of the signed result sheet, the Chair declares the result.
