Death of Former Member: Motion

Senator Fiona O'Loughlin

I move:

That Seanad Éireann –

- expresses its deep sadness on the death of Larry Butler;

- conveys its sincere condolences to his family; and

- expresses its gratitude for his notable contribution, as a member of Seanad Éireann, to Irish public life and for his dedicated service to the people of Ireland.

Question put and agreed to.

The Cathaoirleach will send notice of the motion to the family of the former Senator, Larry Butler. Before the House suspends, I welcome Senator Garret Kelleher's nephew, Seán. He is here on work experience for the week. He is very welcome.

Cuireadh an Seanad ar fionraí ar 12.31 p.m. agus cuireadh tús leis arís ar 2.35 p.m.

Sitting suspended at 12.31 p.m. and resumed at 2.35 p.m.
