Deputy Pat The Cope Gallagher asked the Minister for Health if he will request the HSE to expedite a case (details supplied) brought against the executive and other companies, for damages for negligence, breach of statutory duty and breach of contract, in respect of a surgical procedure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is not appropriate for me to intervene in legal cases which are in progress before the courts. I do not have a role in the management of clinical claims.
