421. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of an application for a carer’s benefit by a person (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [33387/17]

Minister for Social Protection

I confirm that my department received an application for carer’s benefit (CARB) from the person concerned on 24 May 2017. The application is currently being processed and once completed, the person concerned will be notified directly of the outcome.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
