I propose to take Questions Nos. 40 and 41 together.

With regard to the specific applications about which the Deputy has enquired, the Passport Service has contacted the applicants' Guardian directly in relation to the applications.

I strongly encourage the Deputy to advise his constituents of the advantages of using the substantially more efficient Passport Online service, which is now used by more than 90% of applicants worldwide.

Question No. 41 answered with Question No. 40.
