Durkan asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the basis on which the Abbey bridge, Naas, County Kildare is proposed for closure on whatever grounds given that the bridge was built in the first instance to facilitate local traffic as a crossing point; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
