Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to confirm the position in relation to a building in County Waterford (details supplied) and its use by his Department; if there are plans to install modular-style accommodation on the grounds; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth

My Department has no contract for modular units at this site.

Only the accommodation currently in use at this site is contracted to the Department and no additional capacity in modular homes may be offered for use for the accommodation for International Protection applicants, as it does not come under the scope of a planning exemption.
