Given the granular nature of the information required, it could not be collated in the time frame given and will be forwarded directly to the Deputy when available.
The following deferred reply was received under Standing Order 51.
I refer to the above mentioned Parliamentary Question from 20th June 2024 which was deferred: “To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence the number of personnel for whom the Defence Forces currently provide accommodation, broken down by county, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter”.
While it was not possible to provide the requested information to you within the given timeframe, I am now in a position to provide information on this matter.
I am informed by the Military Authorities that accommodation occupancy across the Defence Forces changes frequently due to training and operational requirements. The information provided below is for 21 June 2024.
