Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to provide details relating to insurance claims Coillte has had for all licensed and unlicenced cycling events on its property since 1 January 2019 (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

Coillte is a private limited company established under the Forestry Act 1988, and is operationally independent from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The matter raised is an internal operational matter for Coillte. I have referred the matter to Coillte for direct follow-up with the Deputy.
