I understand that in February 2023, the then Taoiseach engaged with the Office of the Attorney General (AGO) regarding communications received from families of the victims of the Whiddy Island disaster. Subsequent to this I understand the AGO has engaged with the correspondent on a number of occasions and the process is ongoing.
