An official from my Department has advised that the student outlined by the Deputy was awarded the 50% Student Contribution rate of grant by SUSI for the 2024/2025 academic year, based on their 2023 total household income calculation. The difference between the applicant’s award, and that of their brother is as a result of the applicant’s income from employment for 2023.

The applicant did not declare on their application to SUSI that they had experienced a reduction in their income. However, the applicant may request a review of their application based on a reduction of income. They can do this by emailing the SUSI Support Desk at support@susi.ie with the subject line ‘Internal Review Request’ and outlining the details of the reduction in income in the body of the email.
