243. Deputy Marc Ó Cathasaigh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the outcome of the public consultation on retention of landscape features and the Environmental Impact Assessment (Agriculture) Regulations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [40756/24]
View answerA review of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) (Agriculture) Regulations was outlined in the Programme for Government .
As part of that review process, a public consultation was conducted in 2023 by my Department. A total of 64 submissions were received and reviewed in response to the public consultation. Submissions were from statutory agencies, NGOs, farming organisations, farmers, and members of the public.
The outcome of this consultation will inform the next steps in due course.
