Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Health the number of type 1 diabetes patients that were approved to use reimbursed diabetes technology; if he will provide a breakdown on the suppliers; the total costs provided to each supplier for this technology, between the years 2020 to 2024; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines and devices; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
