Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide details of all social enterprise organisations or bodies funded by his Department in each year from 2021 to date in 2024; the amount allocated in funding to each during this time period; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to refer further to the following Parliamentary Question submitted by you for written answer on 17 October 2024: “To ask the Minister for the Environment; Climate and Communications to provide details of all social enterprise organisations or bodies funded by his Department in each year from 2021 to date in 2024; the amount allocated in funding to each during this time period; and if he will make a statement on the matter.”

I am advised that in compiling this response, the definition of social enterprise as outlined by the Department of Rural and Community Development in their “Trading for Impact – the National Social Enterprise Policy 2024 – 2027” was used.
