183. Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Transport the amount collected by the national car testing authority in testing and retesting fees from 2021 to date; how much of this related to VAT imposed on the fee for a test and retest; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [42668/24]
View answerUnder the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the operation of the National Car Testing Service is the statutory responsibility of the Road Safety Authority. I have therefore referred the question to the Authority for direct, detailed reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
