446. Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to provide an update on group water schemes in County Mayo. [41435/24]
View answerMy Department’s Rural Water Programme provides capital and operational funding to Group Water Schemes (GWS). The responsibility for the implementation of the Programme is devolved to individual local authorities.
In each local authority there is a Rural Water Liaison Officer who is responsible for its the day to day administration including providing information on GWS. The officer can be contacted at the local authority offices, in this case Mayo County Council.
Details of the Programme are available on the Gov.ie website at the link under or from the local authority concerned: www.gov.ie/en/publication/a524a-group-water-schemes-and-rural-water-issues/
