As the Deputy will be aware, last June I announced that €300 million will be available to drive the decarbonisation of Ireland’s industrial emitters over the coming years. The fund will be used by Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland to support client companies to reduce their emissions between now and 2030 through the Environmental Aid scheme.

The €300 million in funding will primarily come from the DETE Vote 32. €200 million is allocated to Enterprise Ireland through subhead A7 and €100 million to IDA Ireland through subhead A5. IDA Ireland’s/Enterprise Ireland’s activities are also funded from the generation of Own Resource Income which, subject to the sanction of the Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform, they may retain for use on programme activity.
