Durkan asked the Minister for Social Protection the progress to date in the determination of an appeal of a decision for admittance into the register of solemnisers (details supplied); when the appeal process will be concluded; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm the appeal has been concluded in this matter and that a response has been prepared and is expected to issue to the society from the Appeals Officer in the coming days.
