99. Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to outline all capital investments, if any, made by his Department in the constituencies of Louth and Meath East since 2020; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45403/24]

The following deferred reply was received under Standing Order 51.
My Department does not track projects on a constituency basis and therefore the information requested has been provided by county. A list of all capital investments made by my Department in counties Louth and Meath since 2020, is set out in the table below. Information on the number of grants paid and the amount spent by each local authority under the Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and People with a Disability Scheme for the years 2020-2023 are available on my Department's website at the following link: www.housing.gov.ie/housing/statistics/social-and-affordble/other-local-authority-housing-scheme-statistics .

Flowerhill and Abbeylands Regeneration

Under the Urban Development and Regeneration Fund, Meath County Council has been allocated €7,661,250 for the regeneration of the Flowerhill and Abbeylands areas in Navan town centre. The works proposed include public realm works, pedestrian and cycling facilities, development of a community destination building and frontage improvement works along Flowerhill. Meath County Council has not drawn down any URDF support to date on this proposal.

Fire Services Capital Programme – Co. Louth

The Fire Services Capital Programme has funded the purchase of approximately €340,000 of frontline emergency equipment and appliances. There are outstanding approvals awaiting claim from the council for a further €450,000 of equipment and appliances. Louth County Council have also been approved for two new Class B appliances, with a total approximate value of €1m.

The Fire Services Capital Programme has funded the purchase of approximately €1.8m of frontline emergency equipment and appliances. €1.2m was provided under the programme for refurbishment costs for Dunshauglin and Nobber fire stations. There are outstanding approvals awaiting claim from the council for a further €650,000 of equipment and appliances. Meath County Council have also been approved for a new Class B appliance, with an approximate value of €0.5m.

Ashbourne Road and Public Realm Improvement

Under the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund Meath County Council was allocated €6,376,050 for public realm improvements and enhancement of cycling and pedestrian facilities in Ashbourne. The proposal consists of two projects, Milltown Road and Ashbourne Main Street. Meath County Council has drawn down €5,325,397 in URDF support to date for the proposal.

Under the Urban Development and Regeneration Fund Meath County Council was allocated €3,683,000 to tackle priority derelict sites in Navan town centre through strategic acquisitions; remediation works to secure purchased sites; and preparation and site clearance works at Tailteann Drive. Meath County Council has drawn down €3,262,172 in URDF support to date for the proposal.
