Dáil Éireann Debate, Wednesday - 22 January 2025
1287. Deputy Barry Ward asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will put in place a ban on social media for children under 16 years of age; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2010/25]
View answerThe Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth has no authority with respect to the matter of social media access and use by young people. This is a matter for my cabinet colleague, the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
