Deputy Denise Mitchell asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if his Department, or any body under its aegis, currently outsources cleaning services and-or service officer or security officer roles to private companies; the value and length of any related contract, by body, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that my Department and the Offices under its aegis currently outsource cleaning services and/or service officer/security officer roles to private companies, the details are set out in the table below:

Outsourcing of services by any agencies under the aegis of the Department is an operational matter for each individual agency. The agencies under the aegis of the Department have been contacted and requested to respond directly to the Deputy within 10 days of this question being answered.

The following deferred reply was received under Standing Orders.

I refer to Parliamentary Question 3194/25 for answer on 05 February 2025 where I indicated that additional time would be needed to obtain the requested information, which is set out in the table below. “To ask the Minister for Enterprise; Trade and Employment if his Department, or any body under its aegis, currently outsources cleaning services and/or service officer/security officer roles to private companies; the value and length of any related contract, by body, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter.”
