Each year, Pobal compiles data from Early Learning and Care (ELC) and School Age Childcare (SAC) providers as part of the Early Years Sector Profile. This data is sourced from both the Annual Early Years Sector Profile Survey (AEYSP) and the Early Years Platform (EYP). The most recent published data available on full-day community Service Providers is for the 2022/2023 programme year.

The table below provides figures for the total number of all full-day care services in each Local Authority area, the number of full-day care community childcare services, and the numbers of full-day care community childcare services as a percentage of the total number of childcare services for each area.

As can be seen from the table below the local authorities with the highest proportion of full-day community services for the 2022/2023 programme year were Leitrim (64%) and Monaghan (58%), while the local authorities with the lowest proportion of full-day community services were Dublin - Fingal (5%) and Wicklow (6%).
