Neither I, nor any official in the Department of the Taoiseach, was made aware of the visit of the given person to the White House on St. Patrick’s Day before that visit took place.

The Department of the Taoiseach is committed to protecting the rights and privacy of individuals in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts.

The Department’s designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) liaises regularly with officials in the Data Protection Commission during the course of their work and also as a member of the Commission's DPO Network and other Public Service DPO Networks.
