Deputy Malcolm Byrne asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage the number of actual and attempted cyberattacks on his Department during each of the years 2022, 2023 and 2024, the countries of origin of those attacks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has recorded the following number of cyber incidents in the years requested.

• 2022 :61

• 2023 : 5

• 2024: 24

My Department does not comment on operational security matters as it would be inappropriate to disclose information that may in any way assist those with malicious intent.
