188. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Transport the steps being taken to provide additional venues to allow applicants to take driver theory tests in Dublin; and if he has considered using facilities such as libraries or councils office to make them more convenient. [21829/25]

Minister of State at the Department of Transport

Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for the Driver Theory Test. This includes the location and operation of driver theory test centres.

I have therefore referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
