374. Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Youth if an application for a contract of indefinite duration for a person (details supplied) will be expedited; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35701/25]

Minister for Education and Youth

An official from my Department has been in direct contact with the teacher concerned. Following review of the application, the conditions for award of a contract of indefinite duration (CID ) in the specific case were not met and the teacher and the school have been informed accordingly. The school may submit a new application in due course.
