780. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Health the estimated full-year cost of abolishing all inpatient and emergency department charges; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [35672/25]

Minister for Health

Inpatient Charges were abolished in 2023.

Emergency Department (ED) charges are recorded by the HSE as out-patient income. In 2023, the latest year for which finalised, audited figures are available, the HSE reported out-patient income of €26 million.
