154. Deputy Eoghan Kenny asked the Minister for Transport for an update on the increase in driving testers employed in County Cork as of June 2025; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [36816/25]

Minister of State at the Department of Transport

Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for the National Driver Testing Service. While my Department is responsible for the overall staffing sanction, neither I nor my officials are involved in the service at an operational level. As such, the information requested is held by the Authority.

Given the RSA's responsibility in this matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the RSA for direct response.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Orders.
