504. Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if there are national guidelines or statutory requirements governing the patrol frequency of dog wardens in public parks and other amenity spaces; and if not, whether he will consider introducing same. [49756/25]
View answerMy Department has overall policy responsibility for the Control of Dogs Acts 1986 to 2014. Local authorities, through the Dog Warden service, have responsibility for all operational matters under the Control of Dogs Acts, including enforcement. The operational deployment of dog wardens is a matter for each local authority to consider.
