879. Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Health the number of food recalls that have happened as a result of self-policing versus Food Safety Authority on-site checks. [51525/25]

Minister of State at the Department of Health

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has overall responsibility for the enforcement of food law in Ireland; therefore, as this is an operational matter, I have asked the FSAI to reply directly to the Deputy.
