Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Social Protection if he will respond to the recommendation of the Comptroller and Auditor General that his Department should examine the scope for receiving more complete information on the economic sectors, source and type of income giving rise to Class S PRSI contributions; the procedures and guidance he will put in place as a result; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department has accepted the recommendation of the Comptroller and Auditor General and will work closely with the Office of the Revenue Commissioners to examine the scope to exchange more detailed information on the source and type of income giving rise to class S PRSI contributions.
