404. Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration to provide figures on the number of domestic violence victims presenting to services under the umbrella of Cuan in 2024. [53161/25]
View answerCombatting domestic, sexual and gender-based violence (DSGBV) is a priority for Government, and ensuring reliable date on service use is central to this work.
In January 2024, Cuan, the new statutory agency dedicated to tackling DSGBV was established. Cuan’s role is to coordinate our national response and Government actions in the Third National Strategy on DSGBV and ensure better services and supports for victims and survivors. A key part of this is strengthening how data is gathered and used.
Cuan has a dedicated research and data function responsible for collecting and analysing data across the DSGBV sector, to enable better monitoring and planning for services.
As the Deputy's question relates to work being carried out under the remit of Cuan, I have referred it to the Agency for direct response.
