Questions (669)

Niamh Smyth

Question:

669. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Health if she will urgently review the case of a person (details supplied) who has been left waiting indefinitely for necessary orthognathic surgery, despite being placed on a priority list; the steps she is taking to address the absence of an orthodontic consultant in Dundalk since 2022; if she will arrange for this patient to be treated in another HSE facility, or alternatively facilitate access through the Cross-Border Directive or other suitable arrangements; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As this is a service matter, I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the Deputy directly.
