Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health if she will update the priority ranking of locations/communities for development of primary care centres (PCCs), or expansion of existing PCCs, in view of the Comptroller and Auditor General’s finding that the current ranking ‘lacks sound quantification and transparency’; the timeline for same; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Health Service Executive (HSE) holds responsibility for the service needs driven and evidence based provision of Primary Care Centres, along with their maintenance and operation, I have asked the HSE to respond to the Deputy directly, as soon as possible
