I propose to take Question No 96 and Question No 97 together.

The Department of Defence and the Defence Forces have used eBusiness Suite, which is a comprehensive suite of integrated business applications developed by Oracle, since 2006. This Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system includes Financial Management, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise Asset Management. The Defence Force’s Personnel Management System is also a bespoke Oracle based application.

The Department pays annual renewals to Oracle EMEA Limited for software licences, updates and support. In 2024 the total cost for Oracle licence renewals was €1,208,021 (ex VAT). Costs to date in 2025 for licence renewals is €1,253,541 (ex VAT).
