Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality the number of former secretary general’s, retired civil servants, directors of service, retired city/county managers or those of a similar grade in her Department that have subsequently served on State boards; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The information requested is not available in this Department. The State Boards as part of Public Jobs has responsibility for managing an open and transparent system to identify eminently qualified candidates for the boards of State Agencies. The State Boards process operates under the Guidelines on appointment to State Boards 2014.
