Deputy Erin McGreehan asked the Minister for Health the extent to which patient-level needs, such as demographic growth, deprivation levels, and projected cancer incidence, were factored into determining each region’s allocation for 2026; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Regional Health Area budgeting process is determined by the Health Service Executive, as such I have asked the Health Service Executive to respond to the deputy directly, as soon as possible.
