In the context of a recent protest by a group of survivors outside Leinster House, both An Taoiseach and the then-Minister for Education and Youth, Minister McEntee, engaged with the group concerned on a number of occasions in relation to the issues they had raised.

On the basis of engagement at a meeting of 10 November, and in the context of an ongoing mediation process, the group agreed to cease their protest. An independent mediator is engaging with the group and with relevant Government Departments. This work is proceeding as a matter of urgency with a view to a full resolution as soon as possible.
