313. Deputy Eoghan Kenny asked the Minister for Transport if his Department, and agencies under the Department’s remit, purchase data on the habits and activities of social media users and other platforms; if so, the reasons for purchasing such data; the amount spent in 2024 and 2025 year to date on such expenditure, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Transport

The Department of Transport does not purchase data on the habits and activities of social media users. I have asked the agencies under my aegis to provide the information directly to the Deputy. If you do not hear back from the agencies within 10 working days please contact my office.
