1153. Deputy Conor Sheehan asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the financial supports available to students from Gaza who are accepted into programmes in Irish universities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [71333/25]

The Irish Palestine Scholarship Programme (IPSP) is part of the Ireland Fellows global scholarship programme run by the Government of Ireland providing opportunities for candidates to choose from a wide variety of courses at 19 higher education institutions in Ireland. The Ireland Fellows Programme, which is delivered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is a longstanding international development initiative grounded in the belief that education is central to creating a better world and fostering long-term sustainable change. The programmes leverages Ireland's world-class higher education institutions to empower individuals from eligible developing countries, enabling them to acquire advanced skills and knowledge that they can apply upon returning home
