Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science if his attention has been drawn to recurrent governance issues in the UCD school of medicine, including an ongoing failure by the school to engage with students and the students' union; and the steps he proposes to take to address these issues. Neither I nor my officials in the Department and HEA are currently aware of any governance issues which may be referred to in the question. My officials have made contact to the Deputy's office to provide additional clarifications and additional information to assist and if the deputy was in a position to provide this, I would be happy to provide a direct response.
