View answerAs Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail & Ports, I wish to advise that section 8(4) of the Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) Regulations 1997, as amended, states that a driver entering a public road from a place which is not a public road shall yield right of way to all vehicles and pedestrians proceeding in either direction along the public road. Therefore, any bus entering a public road from a bus station, where there is no signal or other control, must give right of way to ongoing traffic on the public road which they wish to enter.
