Deputy Eoin Ó Broin asked the Minister for Education and Youth the status of a community contribution refund due to a school (details supplied); the reason for the extremely lengthy delay in providing a lease in order to resolve the matter; the timeline for when a lease will be provided; the timeline for the refund to be issued following the provision of and signing of the lease; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education and Youth

The Chief State Solicitor’s Office (CSSO), acting on behalf of my department, is currently engaging with the school's patron in relation to the lease between the school patron and my department. Once the lease has been signed and registered, my department will be in a position to reimburse any funds due to the school.
