The Department of Social Protection provides a document translation service, on request, where the documents are required to support customer’s applications and interactions with the Department.

This includes the translation of documents into or from English, Irish and any other language, as well as alternative formats such as braille and audio translation.

In line with procurement guidelines Request for Tenders are issued for the provision of these services. Contracts are then awarded to the successful tenderer of the competition.

I can confirm for the period mentioned by the Deputy 2020 to 2025, the Department did not use the services of the company Translink.
