668. Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration the number people that have been prosecuted for breach of the in-camera rule in family courts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [71327/25]
View answerAs the Deputy will appreciate, management of the Courts is the responsibility of the Courts Service, which is independent in the exercising of its functions under the Courts Service Act 1998 and the Constitution.
However, to be of assistance, my officials have made enquiries regarding the matters raised. In respect of the number of prosecutions for breach of the in-camera rule in family courts, the Courts Service have advised my Department that their record management system does not capture this information in a manner that would allow for the details sought by the Deputy to be provided.
