An Garda Síochána have provided the following breakdown of operational advanced Garda motorcycle riders and have advised that this number reflects the advanced Garda Motorcyclists who are currently active in Roads Policing units within the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR).

It should be noted that policing for an area is delivered using all resources within each Community Engagement area and are supported by Divisional resources and units. Employing this model of policing allows An Garda Síochána to distribute and allocate resources as required across Divisions.
