Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality if she will reinstate the child law project; the estimated timeline for reinstatement of the agency; and the persons monitoring child law cases in their absence; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe project to attend and report on public child care proceedings under the Child Care Act 1991 recommenced in April 2025.
It is being delivered by the Child Law Project (CLP), who were chosen following a competitive procurement process, for a two-year programme of work. The Minister will make a total of €416,000 available to the project over this period.
