The Deputy can expect to receive the response to the Parliamentary Question No. 383 by 29th December (within ten working days).

The Government is committed to evidence based-policy development and the continual improvement of data availability and analysis on the Irish housing sector.

Under the previous Housing Plan, Housing for All, a cross-departmental data analytics working group was established to identify data gaps in the housing market and propose solutions aimed at effectively tracking housing delivery. The membership of the group includes representatives from D/HLGH, D/Finance, D/Public Expenditure, D/FHERIS, SOLAS, D/Transport, D/Social Protection, the CSO, and my Department. My Department will continue to liaise with the CSO and D/HLGH through this mechanism as necessary.

My Department has not made any formal requests to the CSO, Eurostat, or the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for the publication of residential construction productivity statistics. Construction productivity statistics are the primary responsibility of the CSO.
