1239. Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Education and Youth if she will ensure that a permanent appointment will be made at an early date in respect of a position (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1845/26]

There is currently an acting Chief Executive in place in the Education and Training Board (ETB) referred to by the Deputy. My Department is liaising with the board of the ETB in relation to the arrangements for the filling of the position on a permanent basis.
