I propose to take Questions Nos. 1662 and 1663 together.

The State is currently accommodating almost 33,000 people in 313 International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centres around the country.

No expenditure as described by the Deputy has been incurred in relation to international protection accommodation from 2021 to the end of 2025.

As we work towards a more stable and sustainable accommodation system in this sector, accommodation is being delivered through a range of channels, with a focus on developing more State-owned accommodation.

The Department continues to appraise the portfolio of existing accommodation with a view to consolidation where possible, along with better governance and compliance, and increased frequency of inspections of properties.

Question No. 1663 answered with Question No. 1662.
